Samuel Sackett, son of Captain & Deacon Samuel Sackett and Lydia Heaton, was born in New Haven, ConnecticutG, on 30 March 1741.1,2,3,4 He died aged 84 in North HavenG on 9 February 18263,4,5 and was buried at the Old Graveyard, North HavenG.4,6,7 He married in North HavenG on 24 December 1767, Abigail Blakeslee, daughter of Isaac Blakeslee and Mary Frost.3,8,9 Abigail was born in New HavenG on 13 October 1746.4 She died aged 66 in North HavenG on 5 April 1813 and was buried at the Old Graveyard, North HavenG.4,10,11
     Samuel was admitted to the First Congregational Church, North HavenG, on 30 April 1775.12
     In 1790 Samuel was living in North Haven, New Haven County, ConnecticutG. In his household were three men and three females.13
     Samuel was listed in the 1800 census as a householder in North HavenG.14 In 1810 he was a householder in East Haven, New Haven CountyG.15 In 1820 he was a householder in North HavenG.16

Of the children listed above, only Samuel is correctly assigned. Elisabeth and Eli were probably the same as Betsey and Eli, children of brother Eli. Solomon who married Ruth Turner was a brother, not a son. Amelia and Joel were children of brother Solomon.
