Mary Sacket was born probably in Massachusetts^G in 1803.^1,2 Her parents have not been identified. She died aged 78 in Toronto, York County, Ontario^G, on 4 October 1881³ and was buried at St Andrew's Presbyterian Cemetery, Nobleton, Ontario^G.⁸ She married first at St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Quebec City^G, on 11 May 1822, John Alex McKenzie.^4,5 John was born in Scotland^G.⁷ He died of cholera in Toronto, Ontario^G, about 1834.⁷ She married second in Toronto^G on 6 August 1834, George Hill, son of Joseph Hill and Anne Hull.^6,7 George was born in Vermont^G in 1775.⁹ He died aged 88 on 10 January 1863 and was buried at St Andrew's Presbyterian Cemetery, Nobleton^G.⁸
     In 1851 Mary was living in North Gwillimbury, York County, Ontario^G, in the household of her husband George Hill, 67, a yeoman, and was recorded in the census as Mary Hill, aged 44 and born in Massachusetts. George Hill Jr, son of George Hill and Mary Sacket, was born in North Gwillimbury, York County, Ontario^G, about 1841.^1,2 He married first in King Township, York County, Ontario^G, on 24 January 1865, Christina McKinnon, daughter of Anthony McKinnon and Christina McEachney.³ Christina McKinnon was born in King Township^G on 6 February 1842.⁵ She died aged 39 on 30 September 1881 and was buried at St Andrew's Presbyterian Cemetery, Nobleton, York County^G.^6,7 He married second at St Andrew's Manse, King Township^G, on 27 February 1883, Jane Cutting, daughter of Matthew Cutting and Jane Hanstock.⁴ Jane Cutting was born in King Township^G on 15 March 1855.⁴ She died there aged 62 on 21 September 1917.⁴
