Thomas E Sackett, son of Charles Ebenezer Sackett and Susannah Hamilton, was born probably in Carlyle, Clinton County, IllinoisG, on 25 December 1859.1,2 He died aged 60 at the Robert Koch Hospital, Carondelet, St Louis County, MissouriG, on 31 January 1920 and was buried at Calvary Cemetery, St LouisG, on 3 February 1920.5 He married in Bond County, IllinoisG, on 25 December 1881, Kathryn Marie "Katie" Royer, daughter of Jacob Royer and Madaline Ditzerberg.3,4 Kathryn was born in IllinoisG on 28 May 1860.6,2 She died aged 87 at home at 8501 Jane Avenue, Carsonville, St Louis County, MissouriG, on 30 November 1947 and was buried at Calvary Cemetery, St LouisG, on 3 December 1947.7

George was listed in the St Louis City Directory in 1929 as a laborer, living at 4014 Glasgow Avenue, St LouisG.8
In 1930 he was living at 4025 North 25th Street, St Louis, MissouriG, and was recorded as George L Sackett, confectionary store proprietor, head of household, aged 32. Living with him were his second wife, Sophie, 22, and his daughter Helen, 11, by his first marriage. There was also a male lodger in the household.9
In 1940 he was living at 5130 San Francisco Street, St LouisG, and was recorded as George Sackett, a window washer at a drug company, head of household, aged 41. His wife Sofie, 32, was living with him.10
George completed a World War II young men's draft registration card, probably in 1942. He was living in St LouisG and was employed by the United Drug Company.11

Charles Ebenezer Sackett
Charles Ebenezer Sackett was born in IllinoisG about 1830.1 His parents have not been identified. He died at Fort Heiman, Calloway County, KentuckyG, on 24 April 1863.2 He married in Madison County, IllinoisG, on 25 June 1854, Susannah Hamilton.3 Susannah was born in IllinoisG about 1840.4 After Charles's death, Susannah married Samuel Givens in Madison County, IllinoisG, on 1 October 1867.4
In 1860 Charles was living in Carlyle, Clinton County, IllinoisG, and was recorded in the census as E Sackett, a miller, aged 30 and born in Illinois. Living with him were his wife Susannah, 20, and their children, Sarah, 3, and Thomas, aged two months.5
Charles served during the American Civil War as a private in the 111th Regiment, Illinois Infantry. He died in service.6
In 1870 Susannah was living in Jefferson, Maries County, MissouriG, with her second husband Samuel Givens. Her children, Sarah, 12, Thomas, 10, and Ebenezer, 7, were living with them, together with Samuel's three children by his first marriage, and Samuel and Susannah's two-year-old son John.7
