Akers Stoakes/Rogers, agricultural labourer, of Dymchurch, Kent, son of Samuel Rogers and Frances Tampkin, was born in KentG about 17941 and baptized at Aldington, KentG, on 2 April 1797.2 He died aged about 70 in Romney Marsh, KentG, in 1864.3 He married at Newchurch, KentG, on 25 December 1828, Mary Russell.4
     In 1851 Akers was living at Sutton Farm, Dymchurch, KentG, and was recorded in the census as Akhurst Stoakes, an agricultural labourer, head of household, married, aged 57. Living with him were his wife Mary, 54, and their unmarried son George, aged 20. Also in the household was a male lodger.5

Olive Stokes, daughter of Akers Stoakes/Rogers and Mary Russell, was born in Newchurch, KentG, in 18331 and baptized at NewchurchG on 10 November 1833.2 She died aged about 76 in St Marylebone, LondonG, in 1910.3 She married in St Stephen's Church, Hampstead, MiddlesexG, on 26 February 1870, John Freeman, son of James Freeman and Elizabeth Fisher.4,5
     In 1861 Olive was living at Maltman House, Biddenden, KentG, in the household of Robert Wells, a surgeon, and his wife, and was recorded in the census as Olive Stokes, a servant, unmarried, aged 27 and born in Newchurch, Kent.6
     In 1871 she was living at 26 Henstridge Place, St Marylebone, LondonG, in the household of her husband John, and was recorded as Olive Freeman, aged 37 and born in Kent.7
     In 1881 she was living at 6 St Anne Terrace, St Marylebone, LondonG, in the household of her husband John, and was recorded as Olive Freeman, aged 46.8
     In 1891 she was living at 6 St Anne Terrace, St Marylebone, LondonG, in the household of her husband John, and was recorded as Olive Freeman, aged 56 and born in "Demchurch", Kent.9
     In 1901 she was living at 6 St Anne Terrace, St MaryleboneG, in the household of her husband John, and was recorded as Olive Freeman, aged 66.10
