Also in the household were four female servants: a governess, cook, parlour-maid, and housemaid.6
     In 1891 she was living at 22 Victoria Square, Clifton, BristolG, and was recorded as Maria Gwynn, head of household, a widow, living on her own means, aged 58 and born in Tewkesbury. Living with her were her unmarried children, Mary, 36, Edith, 23, Neville, 22, Gertrude, 21, William, 20, and Gwynn, 18, and her married son John, 30, and his wife Eliza, 34.
