He died aged 70 in East BrooklynG on 9 May 1855.1 He married first on 17 November 1812, Jerusha Wilcox, daughter of Reuben Wilcox and Chloe Sackett.2 James married second on 28 June 1834, Charlotte Sperham Caul, daughter of Henry Caul and Catherine ___.3
