Grove Earl Sackett, son of Frank Sackett and Nettie J Dean, was born in Colebrook, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, on 3 September 1892.1,2,3 He died there in infancy on 6 September 1892 and was buried at the Center Cemetery, ColebrookG.3 A memorial inscription also appears at Forest View Cemetery, Winchester, Litchfield CountyG, with those of his mother Nettie and grandfather James E Dean.4

Funeral Tomorrow.
Marquart & Myrers received a telegram this morning, stating that the remains of Alvah Sackett would arrive in Sandusky at 6:40 this evening in charge of Nelson J. Hunt. The funeral will be held from the residence of Mr. Hunt tomorrow afternoon, Rev. Blackburn and Hull conducting the services. Interment will be made in Oakland cemetery.

Alvah Sackett, formerly of Lakeside, a well known fruit grower, was killed by lightning at Barnesville, Ga, Monday morning. The remains were taken to Sandusky for interment; Rev. Mr. Hull, of Marblehead, conducted the services.

7273. Albee P. Sackett, 1853–1900, of Lakeside, Ohio, son of (4163) Harrison P. and Caroline Matthews Sackett, owned and conducted a fruit farm, and was an active member of the "Meadowbrook Fruit Company," which dealt extensively in southern fruit, their principal shipping point being Sandusky, Ohio. On June 20, 1900, he left Sandusky, accompanied by one of his partners, for the peach growing district of Barnesville, Ga., to superintend the gathering of crops they had purchased. While engaged in this undertaking a thunder storm came up and he was killed by lightning.
