Anthony F Sackett, son of Salvatore Seghetti/Sackett and Annunziata "Nancy" Leone, was born in Shamrock, Northumberland County, PennsylvaniaG, on 8 May 1917.1,2,3 He died aged 83 in Lorain, Lorain County, OhioG, on 28 April 20014,5,6 and was buried at Calvary Cemetery, LorainG.8,9 He married in Bowling Green, Wood County, OhioG, on 15 February 1941, Pauline P Caco, daughter of John Caco and Helen Tomcho.7 Pauline was born in LorainG on 29 August 1919.1,2,10 She died there aged 91 on 15 November 2010 and was buried at Calvary Cemetery, LorainG.8,11,12,10
In 1920 Anthony was living at New Salem Road, Menallen, Fayette County, PennsylvaniaG, in the household of his parents Sam [Salvatore] and Rosy [Annunziata], and was recorded in the census as Tony Sackett, aged two and born in Pennsylvania.13
In 1930 he was living at 113 Waverly Avenue, Elyria, Lorain County, OhioG, in the household of his father Joseph [Salvatore] and stepmother Barbara, and was recorded as Anthony Sacketta [sic], aged 14.14
Anthony completed a World War II draft registration card on 16 October 1940. He was aged 23 and was employed at Western Automatic in Elyria. Next of kin was his sister Josephine.15
In 1940 he was living at 1851 East 29th Street, LorainG, in the household of his sister Josephine and brother-in-law Nicola Daddario, and was recorded as Anthony Sackett, a machine operator in a screw factory, aged 23.16
Anthony served in the US Army during the Second World War, enlisting in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, OhioG, on 15 December 1943. He was discharged on 25 May 1946.9,17

Obituary
Lorain – Pauline P. Sackett (nee Caco), age 91, of Lorain, died Monday November 15, 2010 at the Amherst Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness.
She was born in Lorain on August 29, 1919 and had been a life-long resident of the city. Pauline was a graduate of Clearview High School as a member of the Class of 1937. She was formerly employed as an inspector for the Stanadyne Corporation of Elyria during the war effort.
Mrs. Sackett was a long-time parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society. She was a member of the National Slovak Society Branch # 160 as well as a member of the American Slovak Club. In her free time she enjoyed crocheting, league bowling, and league golf.
She is survived by her sister Agnes Brezina of Lorain along with a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony in 2001, by her parents John and Helen (nee Tomcho) Caco, by brothers William and John, and by sisters Helen Korp, Cecelia Horomanski, Veronica Solak, Ann Szalay, and Dorothy Zimmerman.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. A rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. by the members of the Holy Trinity Altar & Rosary Society; funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral chapel with Reverend Robert Glepko, Pastor of Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Church presiding. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
