Salvatore Seghetti, later Sackett, was born in Ascoli Piceno, Marche, ItalyG, in 1876.1,2 He died aged 88 in Lorain, Lorain County, OhioG, on 26 November 1965 and was buried at St Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Amherst, Lorain CountyG.3,4,5 He married first in ItalyG in about 1906, Annunziata "Nancy" Leone, daughter of Peter Leone and Lena Pilicione.2 Annunziata was born in Ascoli Piceno, Marche, ItalyG, on 25 March 1879.6,1 She died aged 46 in Uniontown, Fayette County, PennsylvaniaG, on 16 April 1925.7 He married second between 1925 and 1930, Barbara ___. Barbara was born in ItalyG in about 1891.2
In 1910 Salvatore was living in German Township, Fayette County, PennsylvaniaG, and was recorded in the census as Samuel Sechetti, a coal miner, aged 32 and born in Italy. Living with him were his wife Nunziata, 30, a boarding house keeper, and their daughter Josephine, aged one. There were five male boarders in the household, all coal miners born in Italy.8
In 1920 he was living at New Salem Road, Menallen, Fayette County, PennsylvaniaG, and was recorded as Sam Sackett, a coal miner, aged 42 and born in Italy. Living with him were his wife "Rosy" [Annunziata], 40, and their children, Josephine, 11, Mary, 10, Joe, 8, Pete, 6, Tony, 2, and Louie, aged 3 months.9
In 1930 he was living at 113 Waverly Avenue, Elyria, Lorain County, OhioG, and was recorded as Joseph Sacketta [sic], a machinist, aged 53 and born in Italy.      Salvatore's use of the names Sam (1920) and Joseph (1930) appear to have been temporary. There may have been confusion with his son Joseph in the 1930 census record, both being described as machinists in a screw factory.
Salvatore was an inmate at the Toledo State Hospital for the Insane, Toledo, Lucas County, OhioG, from about 1935 and was recorded there in the census in 1940 and 1950.11,12
