Francis M "Frank" Sackett was born in La Crosse, WisconsinG, in April 1853.1,2,3 His parents have not been identified. He married in about 1877, Emma J "Jennie" Fox.2 Emma was born in IndianaG in October 1861.4,2
     In 1880 Francis was living in Scott, Floyd County, IowaG, and was recorded in the census as Frank Sackett, a farm laborer, head of household, aged 27 and born in Wisconsin. His wife Emma J, 18, was living with him.5
     In 1885 he was living in Coffins Grove, Delaware County, IowaG, and was recorded as Francis Sackett, a laborer, aged 31 and born in Wisconsin. Living with him were his wife Jennie, 22, and their children, Perlie, 6, Lottie, 4, Nettie, 2, and Harvey, aged one.6
     In 1900 he was living in Castle Grove, Jones County, IowaG, and was recorded as Frank Sackett, a farmer, head of household, aged 47 and born in Wisconsin. Living with him were his wife Jennie, 38, and their children, Lottie, 19, Harvey, 16, Nettie, 18, Mable, 14, Elma, 12, Tommie, 10, Bessie, 8, Fred, 6, Blanchie, 4, and Leroy, aged two.7
