Francis Sackett, son of Stephen Sacket Jr and Ruhamah Lyman, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, in about 1817.1 He died aged 63 in Ashburnham, Worcester County, MassachusettsG, on 25 November 18732 and was buried at Meetinghouse Hill Cemetery, AshburnhamG.3,4 He married in about 1848, Susan ___.5 Susan was born in MassachusettsG in about 1822.1
     Francis was named as a beneficiary in the will of his grandfather Stephen Sacket, made at Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 5 October 1829 and proved on 2 March 1830. He was to receive a sum of $50.
     In 1860 Francis was living in AshburnhamG and was recorded in the census as Francis Sackett, a painter, aged 43. Living with him were his wife Susan, 38, and their children, Mary, 11, and Josephine, aged four.6
