Rosalind Edith Sackett, daughter of Frank Hutchins Sackett and Margaret Lois McNely, was born in Weeping Waters City, Cass County, NebraskaG, on 5 April 1900.1,2 She died aged 102 in Akron, Summit County, OhioG, on 8 November 20023,4,5 and was buried at Tallmadge Cemetery, Summit CountyG.1 She married in TallmadgeG on 30 June 1924, Stanley Swigart Rothrock, a confectionery manufacturer, son of Amos A Rothrock and Ada J Swigart.1,6 At the time of her marriage, Rosalind was a schoolteacher. Stanley was born in Brimfield, Portage County, OhioG, on 17 October 1897.1,2,7 He died aged 94 in Kent, Portage CountyG, on 1 February 19928 and was buried at Tallmadge CemeteryG.1
     In 1900 Rosalind was living at Barnett Street, Weeping Water, Cass County, NebraskaG, in the household of her parents Frank and Margaret, and was recorded in the census as an infant daughter, aged one and born in Nebraska. Her date of birth was incorrectly recorded as April 1899 instead of April 1900.9
     In 1910 she was living in TallmadgeG in the household of her parents Frank and Margaret, and was recorded as Roseland E Sackett, aged ten.10
     Rosalind attended Mount Union College, Alliance, Stark County, OhioG, in 1919.11
     In 1920 she was living in TallmadgeG in the household of her parents Frank and Margaret, and was recorded as Roselind Sackett, aged 19.12
     In 1930 she was living at North East Road, TallmadgeG, in the household of her husband Stanley Rothrock, 33, an accountant in a rubber shop, and was recorded as Roselin E Rothrock, aged 30. They owned their home. Living with them were their daughter, Rosanne, aged less than a month, Rosalind's widowed mother Margaret, and Rosalind's unmarried sister Kathrine, aged 20.13

Rosalind died Nov. 8, 2002.
     Rosalind was born April 5, 1900, in Weeping Water, Neb. She was the daughter of Frank H. and Margaret McNely Sackett. In the spring of 1902, the family moved to Tallmadge, Ohio. Rosalind attended and graduated from Mount Union College in 1922 as a teacher. She was a member of Alpha Xi Delta and Psi Kappa Omega while at Mount Union. She taught in the Akron City and Tallmadge school systems. She married Stanley S. Rothrock on June 30, 1924.
     In 1936 she and Stanley and their children, Rosanne and Lee, moved to their new home in Silver Lake Village. Rosalind was an active and devoted member of the Church in Silver Lake and the Women’s Fellowship. She was also a member of Tallmadge Country Study Club, Mary Ellsworth Club, College Club of Akron, and Fortnightly Club of Akron. In 1994, she moved to Sumner on Merriman.
     Rosalind was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul Sackett; sister, Kathryn Harrah; infant son, Frank; and husband, Stanley. She is survived by her daughter, Rosanne Carpenter of Altamont, N.Y; son, Lee of Williston, Ohio; granddaughters, Carol Carpenter-Dove, Linda Maynard, Janet Sotola, Diane Ingraham, and their husbands; seven great-grandchildren; nephew, Frank Harrah; and nieces, Susan Youmans and Jean Warren.
     A memorial service will be held at the Church in Silver Lake, 2951 Kent Rd., Silver Lake, Ohio, on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, at 2 p.m. The family will greet friends in the fellowship hall after the service. Per Rosalind’s request, cremation has taken place, with her remains to be buried in the old section of Tallmadge Cemetery in the Hiram Sackett family plot area. Stanley S. Rothrock
Silver Lake — Stanley S. Rothrock, 94, died Feb. 1.
     Mr. Rothrock was the son of Amos A. and Ada Swigart Rothrock. He was bom in Brimfield, Ohio, and lived in Fairlawn and Tallmadge before moving to Silver Lake in 1936. He was a graduate of Michigan Agricultural College in 1920 and was a veteran of the Army during World War I. In Silver Lake he served on the School Board for many years, was on the Village Council, and was active and devoted to the Church in Silver Lake. He was a former member of the Cuyahoga Falls Rotary Club. After retirement in 1962 from the Workingmens Overall Supply Co., he became director of the Cerebral Palsy Center for six years. For the next nine years he served the Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education as an attendance officer.
     Mr. Rothrock was preceded in death by an infant son, and is survived by his wife, Rosalind; daughter, Rosanne Carpenter of Allentown, Pa; son, Lee of Williston, Ohio; granddaughters, Carol Carpenter-Dove, Linda Northrup, Janet Sotola, Diane Ingraham and their husbands; great-grandsons, Tony Northrup and Nicholas Ingraham and Alex Sotola; and nieces and nephews.
     A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 8, 3 p.m., at the Church in Silver Lake, 2951 Kent Rd., Silver Lake, with Pastors Doyle Luckenbaugh and John Keefe officiating.
