Sally Sackett, daughter of Rev Nathaniel Sackett and Margaret Lazear, was born in New York StateG on 13 February 1821.1,2 She married about 1842, George W Bailey, son of Joseph Bailey and Mary Wilson.1
In 1870 Sally was living in Romulus, Seneca County, New York StateG, in the household of her husband George Baley, 47, a farmer, and was recorded in the census as Sallie Baley, aged 49 and born in New York. Living with them were their children, Albert, 19, Frank, 16, Isabel, 12, and Cornelius, aged five, and Sally's mother Margaret Sackett, 79.3

1903. Sally Sackett, 1821–, daughter of (766) Rev. Nathaniel and Margaret Lazier Sackett, was married, in 1842, to George W. Baley, son of Joseph Baley and Mary Wilson.
George W. Baley, writes, under date of Dec. 1, 1906, in answer to an inquiry, as follows: "My father was one of the first settlers in Seneca County, N. Y. He bought government land, paying for it 25 cents per acre. It was all woods. Indians were numerous. He put up a small log cabin, covered it with basswood bark, and commenced clearing. I am a farmer; have lived in the town of Romulus, within fifty rods of where I was born, for 84 years. I and my children are Methodists, and use no stimulating drinks or tobacco, and at my advanced age I am yet able to do a fair day's work."
