Cornelius L Bailey, son of George W Bailey and Sally Sackett, was born in about 1864.1
     Cornelius Bailey was named after his soldier brother who had been killed at the battle of Gettysburg. Cornelius II served in the Spanish-American War in 1898-99 in a Syracuse company.
4610. Cornelius L. Baley, 1864–, of Syracuse, N. Y., son of (1903) [sic] George W. and [1903] Sally E. Sackett Baley, was born at Romulus, N. Y., and was named after his soldier brother, the 4605 of this record, who was killed at the battle of Gettysburgh. On July 11, 1898, he enlisted in a Syracuse company for the Spanish-American War and remained in the service until his company was mustered out April 25, 1899.
