Hazel E Sackett, daughter of William Hiram Sackett and Ada "Addie" Smith, was born in IllinoisG in June 1895.1 She died aged about 66 in 1961 and was buried at St Mary's Cemetery, Bloomington, McLean County, IllinoisG.2 She married in about 1919, Thomas Martin Walsh. Thomas was born in BloomingtonG on 4 February 1891.2 He died aged about 84 in 1975 and was buried at St Mary's Cemetery, BloomingtonG.2
In 1900 Hazel was living at Adelaide Street, Normal, McLean County, IllinoisG, in the household of her widowed father William, and was recorded in the census as Hazel Sackett, aged four and born in Illinois.3
In 1910 she was living at East Front Street, Bloomington, McLean CountyG, in the household of her widowed father William, and was recorded as Hazel Sackett, aged 14.4
In 1920 she was living at 1021 E Front Street, BloomingtonG, in the household of her widowed father William, and was recorded as Hazel Sackett, aged 24.5
In 1930 she was living at Moore Street, Bloomington, McLean County, IllinoisG, in the household of her husband Thomas Walsh, 38, a contractor, and was recorded as Hazel Walsh, aged 34. Living with them were their children, Mary, 8, Thomas, 7, William, 5, and Martha, aged one. Also in the household were Hazel's widowed father William Sackett, 73, her divorced sister Pearl Downey, and a 14-year-old Margaret Kauth whose description in the census record is unclear but who may have been a ward of court.6
