Russell Nelson Sackett, son of Russell Rhoads Sackett and Lillian May Wilson, was born at Oxford Pike, Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaG, on 5 October 1906.1 He died aged 91 in PhiladelphiaG on 23 August 1998.2 He married in PhiladelphiaG in 1928, Gladys Marie Bickley, daughter of Charles Bickley and Annie Wermuth.3 Gladys was born at 2071 E Tioga Street, PhiladelphiaG, on 31 January 1908.4,5,6 She died aged 99 in PhiladelphiaG on 8 February 2007.7
In 1910 Russell was living at Oxford Pike, Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaG, in the household of his parents Russell and Lillian, and was recorded in the census as Russell N Sacket Jr, aged three and born in Pennsylvania.8
In 1920 he was living at Paul Street, PhiladelphiaG, in the household of his parents Russell and Lillian, and was recorded as Russell Sackett, aged twelve.9
Russell was included in a list of communicants at St Mark's Episcopal Church, PhiladelphiaG, on 20 March 1927.10
In 1930 he was living in PhiladelphiaG in the household of his parents Russell and Lillian, and was recorded as Russell N Sackett, an electrician, aged 22. His wife Gladys, 22, was living with him.11
Russell completed a World War II young men's draft registration card in 1940. He was aged 34, living in Wissinoming, PhiladelphiaG, and next of kin was his wife Gladys.12
