Harriet Arabella "Hattie" Sackett, daughter of Captain James Joseph Sackett and Harriet Capes, was born in ConnecticutG on 20 March 1843.1,2,3 She died aged 78 in ConnecticutG on 16 March 1922 and was buried at the New Woodland Cemetery, Stamford, Fairfield County, ConnecticutG.4,5 She married at St Luke's Church, Darien, Fairfield County, ConnecticutG, on 14 November 1872, William Henry Orchard.6 William was born in EnglandG on 1 May 1843.2,3 He died aged 73 on 9 October 1916 and was buried at the New Woodland Cemetery, StamfordG.7
     In 1860 Harriet was living in Darien, Fairfield County, ConnecticutG, in the household of her mother Harriet and stepfather John Bell, and was recorded in the census as Harriet A Sacket, aged 20 and born in Connecticut.8
     In 1880 Harriet was living in Darien, Fairfield County, ConnecticutG, in the household of her mother Harriet and stepfather John Bell, and was recorded in the census as Harriet A Orchard, aged 37 and born in Connecticut. Living with her were her husband William, 37, and their children William, 6, and Harriet, aged five.9
     In 1900 she was living at DarienG in the household of her husband William, 57, a glove salesman, and was recorded as Harriet A Orchard, aged 57. Living with them were their unmarried children, William, 26, and Harriet, aged 25.10
     In 1910 she was living in DarienG in the household of her husband William, 67, and was recorded as Harriet A Orchard, aged 67. Their unmarried daughter Harriet, 35, was living with them.11
     In 1920 she was living at Bell Avenue, DarienG, and was recorded as Harriett A Orchard, head of household, a widow aged 76. She owned her home free of mortgage. Her unmarried daughter Harriet, 44, was living with her.12
