William Washington Sackett, son of William O Sackett and Polly Ann ___, was born in Bethany, New Haven County, ConnecticutG, in about 1798.1 He died aged 75 in BethanyG on 10 March 1873.2 He married first in Oxford, New Haven CountyG, on 15 February 1823, Sally Wooding.3 He married second in BethanyG on 13 August 1839, Minerva Drives.4 Minerva was born on 25 June 1817.5 She died aged 95 on 21 October 1912 and was buried at Northwest Cemetery, Woodbridge, New Haven CountyG.6,7
     William was listed in the 1830 census as a householder in OxfordG.8 In 1840 he was a householder in Bethany, New Haven CountyG.9
     In 1880 William's widow Minerva, aged 63, was living at Seymour, New Haven County, ConnecticutG, in the household of her widowed daughter Eliza, 37.10
