Leland Russell Sackett Jr, son of Leland Russell Sackett Sr and Fannie McKennon, was born in Eugene, Lane County, OregonG, on 17 March 1923.1,2,3 He died aged 94 in Ellensburg, Kittitas County, Washington StateG, on 7 April 2017.2,4
     In 1930 Leland was living in Sheridan, Yamhill County, OregonG, in the household of his parents Leland and Fannie, and was recorded in the census as L Russell Sackett, aged seven and born in Oregon.5
     Leland enlisted in the US Army Air Corps at Sheppard Field, Wichita Falls, TexasG, on 7 April 1943.6
