Joseph Sackett

Joseph Sackett was born in CanadaG in about 1815.1 His parents have not been identified. He married before 1842, Philena E Root. Philena was born in ConnecticutG in about 1815.2,3 She died aged 37 in Norfolk, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, on 13 March 18534 and was buried at Center Cemetery, NorfolkG.5
     In 1850 Joseph was living in Norfolk, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, and was recorded in the census as Joseph Sacket, a laborer, aged 31 and born in Canada. Living with him were his wife Philena, 34, and their children, Trelawney, 6, William, 4, Nazare, 2, and Olive, aged one.6
