Edgar William Sackett, son of William N Sackett and Margaret Shaw, was born in ConnecticutG on 5 February 1875.1,2 He died aged 71 in 1946 and was buried at Elm Grove Cemetery, WindsorG.3 He married in Poquonock, Windsor, Hartford County, ConnecticutG, on 5 February 1902, Elizabeth Jane Taylor.1 Elizabeth was born in 1879. She died aged about 76 in WindsorG in 1955 and was buried at Elm Grove Cemetery, WindsorG.3
     In 1880 Edgar was living in Windsor, Hartford County, ConnecticutG, in the household of his widowed mother Margaret, and was recorded in the census as Edgar W Sacket, at school, aged five and born in Connecticut.4
     In 1900 he was living in WindsorG in the household of his widowed mother Margaret, and was recorded as Edgar W Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 25.5
     Edgar completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was then aged 43 and was a butcher living in WindsorG with his wife Elizabeth.6
     In 1920 Edgar was living at Main Street, WindsorG, and was recorded in the census as Edgar W Sackett, a grocery store owner, head of household, aged 44 and born in Connecticut. He owned his home. Living with him were his wife Elizabeth, 40, and their daughter Avis, aged 15.7
     In 1930 he was living at Poquonock Avenue, WindsorG, and was recorded as Edgar W Sackett, a farm laborer, head of household, aged 55. He owned his home. Living with him was his wife Elizabeth, aged 50.8
