Alfred Goldfinch, son of Edward Cleve Goldfinch and Mary Louise Farrett, was born in Ramsgate, KentG, in about 1895.
     In 1901 Alfred was living at 3 Castle Road, St Lawrence, RamsgateG, in the household of his parents Edward and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Alfred Goldfinch, aged five and born in Ramsgate.1
     In 1911 he was living at 9 Rodney Street, RamsgateG, in the household of his parents Edward and Mary, and was recorded as Alfred Goldfinch, aged 16 and born in Ramsgate.2
