Alberta Emma Locke, daughter of Albert E Locke and Emma Polly Sackett, was born in IllinoisG in 1863.1,2 She died aged about 68 in 1931 and was buried at Glenwood Cemetery, Oneida, Madison County, New York StateG.2 She married in about 1884, William Reedy Sassman.1
In 1870 Alberta was living in Marengo, McHenry County, IllinoisG, in the household of her mother Emma and stepfather Myron Poyer, and was recorded in the census as Berta Lock, aged seven and born in Illinois.3
In 1880 she was living at Marengo, McHenry County, IllinoisG, in the household of her mother Emma and stepfather Myron Poyer, and was recorded as Alberta E Locke, aged 17 and born in Illinois.4
In 1910 she was living in Towanda, Butler County, KansasG, in the household of her husband William, 51, a farmer, and was recorded as Alberta E Sassman, aged 47. Living with them were their children, Ruth, 17, Helen, 13, and Hollis, aged nine.5
