Ruth Martha Thomas, daughter of John Henry Thomas and Anne Elizabeth "Annie" Sackett, was born in West Ham, EssexG, in January 1902.1 She married first in Dryden, Kenora District, Ontario, CanadaG, on 16 March 1921, Richard Currie, son of James Currie and Rosy Service.2 Richard was born in Glasgow, ScotlandG, in about 1890.3 She married second ___ Lawlis.
     Ruth emigrated to CanadaG in 1905 with her parents and siblings.4
     In 1911 Ruth was living in Zealand Township, Ontario, CanadaG, in the household of her parents John and Annie, and was recorded in the census as Ruth M Thomas, aged nine and born in England.5
