Charles Feakins Sackett, son of Robert George Sackett and Judith Fegen, was born in Ramsgate, KentG, in 18421 and baptized at St George's Church, RamsgateG, on 20 March 1842.2 He died aged 33 in Blean, KentG, in 1875.3 He married in Milton, KentG, in 1869, Frances Spice, daughter of William Spice and Frances Payn.4,5 Frances was born in Sittingbourne, KentG, in 18456,7 and died aged 91 in Surrey (South Eastern Registration District)G in 1935.8
In 1851 Charles was living at 12 York Street, Ramsgate, KentG, and was recorded in the census as Charles Sackett, a scholar, aged 9 and born in Ramsgate, son of Robert G Sackett.9
In 1861 he was living at 3 Leopold Street, Ramsgate, KentG, in the household of his parents Robert and Judith, and was recorded as Charles Sackett, a shipwright, aged 19, and born in Ramsgate.10
In 1881 Charles's widow Frances was living at 8 Norfolk Street, Whitstable, KentG, and was recorded in the census as Frances Sackett, a dressmaker, head of household, a widow, aged 34, and born in Sittingbourne. Living with her were her children, Charles, 10, Adelaide, 7, and Elizabeth, aged five.11
In 1901 she was living at 74 Foxberry Road, St Paul's, Deptford, LondonG, and was recorded as Frances Sackett, a self-employed dressmaker, head of household, a widow, aged 55, and born in Sittingbourne. Living with her was her unmarried daughter Elizabeth, 24. Also in the household was two-year-old John Wright, a boarder.12
In 1911 she was living at 69 Strathleven Road, Brixton, Lambeth, LondonG, and was recorded as Frances Sackett, a dressmaker, a widow, aged 66 and born in Sittingbourne.13
In 1921 she was living at 19 Tintern Street, LambethG, and was recorded as Frances Sackett, a lodger, widowed, aged 76.14
