Maria Sackett, daughter of John Sackett and Sarah Ashby, was baptized at St George's Church, Ramsgate, KentG, on 6 July 1837.1 She died aged 402 and was buried at St George's ChurchG on 5 March 1878.3 She was unmarried.
In 1841 Maria was living at Effingham Place, Ramsgate, KentG, in the household of her mother Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Maria Sackett, aged four and born in Kent.4,5
In 1851 she was living at Baily Grove, Camberwell, SurreyG, in the household of Kate Hudson, a 23-year-old widow, and was recorded as Maria Sackett, a servant, aged 13 and born in St George, Ramsgate.6
In 1861 she was living at Stoke House School, Thanet, KentG, in the household of her unmarried sister Eliza, and was recorded as Maria Sackett, assistant [to governess], unmarried, aged 23, and born in Ramsgate.7
In 1871 she was living at Stoke House School, West Cliff Road, Ramsgate, KentG, in the household of her unmarried aunt Eliza Sackett, a school mistress., and was recorded as Maria Sackett, a domestic assistant, unmarried, aged 32, and born in Ramsgate.8
