Eva May Sackett, daughter of Benjamin Austin Sackett and Mary Nolan, was born in MichiganG in June 1857.1,2 She died aged 78 at the Kalamazoo State Hospital, MichiganG, on 5 October 1935 and was buried at White Cloud Cemetery, Newaygo CountyG, on 8 October 1935.3
     In 1860 Eva was living in Porter, Van Buren County, MichiganG, in the household of her parents Benjamin and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Eva M Sackett, aged three and born in Michigan.4
     In 1870 she was living in Bangor, Van Buren County, MichiganG, in the household of her widowed father Benjamin, and was recorded as Eva Sackett, aged 13 and born in Michigan.5
     Eva was named in her uncle Orsemus's will. She was to inherit his estate, after nineteen years, equally with her sister Anna and Orsemus's grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
     In 1900 she was living in White Cloud, Newaygo County, MichiganG, in the household of her widowed father Benjamin, 79, and was recorded as Eva M Sackett, a school teacher, single, aged 46 and born in Michigan.6
     In 1910 she was living in Goodwill, Newaygo County, MichiganG, and was recorded as Eva M Sackett, farmer and school teacher, head of household, single, aged 52. She owned her home free of mortgage. Living with her was her unmarried sister Anna, 48, also a farmer and school teacher.7
     In 1920 she was living at Court Street, Wilcox, Newaygo County, MichiganG, and was recorded as Eva M Sackett, a teacher, head of household, aged 62, single. She owned her home free of mortgage. Living with her was her unmarried sister Anna, 58, also a teacher.8
     In 1930 she was living in WilcoxG and was recorded as Eva M Sackett, head of household, aged 72, single. She owned her home. Living with her was her unmarried sister Anna, 68.9
