Samuel Albert Sackett, lawyer, son of William Henry Sackett and Emma Adaline Branneman, was born in Cloverdale, Putnam County, IndianaG, on 23 February 1872.1 He died aged 63 at Providence Hospital, El Paso, TexasG, on 24 December 1935 and was buried at Restlawn Memorial Park, El PasoG, on 26 December 1935.2 He married in Colorado Springs, El Paso County, ColoradoG, on 1 June 1904, Agnes Klingelhoffer, daughter of Victor Klingelhoffer and Johanna Wellhoff.3 Agnes was born in IndianaG on 6 April 1878.1 She died aged 80 at 180 Croom Road, El Paso, TexasG, in 1958 and was buried at Restlawn Memorial Park, El PasoG.4,5
In 1880 Samuel was living in Cloverdale, IndianaG, in the household of his parents William and Emma, and was recorded in the census as Samuel A Sackett, aged eight and born in Indiana.6
In 1900 he was living in Danville, Hendricks County, IndianaG, in the household of his widowed mother Emma, and was recorded as Samuel A Sackett, a teacher, aged 28.7
In 1910 he was living at Regent Street, Boulder, ColoradoG, and was recorded as Samuel L Sackett, a schoolteacher, head of household, aged 36. He rented his home. Living with him were his wife Agnes, 30, and their children, Forest, 9, Arlien, 5, and Albert, aged two. There were also two lodgers in the household.8
In 1920 he was living at Hastings Street, El Paso, TexasG, and was recorded as Sam Sackett, a lawyer, head of household, aged 47. He owned his home on a mortgage. Living with him were his wife Agnes, a schoolteacher, aged 41, and their children, Forrest, 14, Arlian, 12, and Albert, aged ten.9
