Hazel Agnes Sackett, daughter of Samuel Albert Sackett and Agnes Klingelhoffer, was born in TexasG on 1 July 1920. She died aged 102 in El Paso, TexasG, on 4 August 2022.1 She married on 19 January 1947, Richard LeRoy Thompson, son of Jake R Thompson and Nora Simpson.2 Richard was born in El Dorado, Butler County, KansasG, on 10 December 1922.3 He died aged 48 in El PasoG on 23 April 1971.4,5
In 1930 Hazel was living at Hastings Street, El PasoG, in the household of her parents Samuel and Agnes, and was recorded in the census as Hazel A Sackett, aged nine and born in Texas.6

Hazel Agnes Sackett Thompson, 102, passed away on August 4, 2022, in El Paso, TX, after a brief illness.
A lifelong El Pasoan, she was born July 1, 1920 to Samuel A. and Agnes K. Sackett. Mrs. Thompson taught school 40 years in the El Paso School District. She was an accomplished pianist and organist and served as church organist for Bethany Christian Church for 45 years.
Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard L. Thompson. She is survived by six children: Yodonna Holmes and husband Harry; Travis Thompson and wife Yolanda, Hazel Bright and husband Ed; Franklin Thompson; Donald Thompson and wife Teresa; Carolyn Huntoon and husband Cliff; as well as ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be August 16th, 5:00pm to 8:00pm, at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Avenue. Funeral service will be August 17th, 9:30am at Bethany Christian Church, 10453 Springwood, with burial following at Evergreen East Cemetery, 12400 Montana Avenue at 11:00am.
Mother was an avid supporter of the music and theater arts. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the El Paso Symphony Orchestra, the Plaza Theater, or the charity of your choice.

He was a night watchman for the Ysleta Independent School district. Survivors, wife, Mrs. Hazel S. Thompson, Sons, Travis Thompson, Franklln Thompson, Donald Thompson, Daughters, Mrs. Yadonna Guerrero, Miss Hazel Arllen Thompson, Carolyn Thompson, all of El Paso. Brother, Oral Thompson, Kansas City, Kan. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Monday in the Harding-0rr & McDanlel Montana ave. Chapel, Rev. Ned R. Graves officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen East cemetery. Arrangements by Hardlng-Orr & McDaniel Montana ave., 320 Montana ave.
