John Elbert Sackett, son of Jonathan "John" Andrew Sackett and William Ophelia Smith, was born in Winthrop, Little River County, ArkansasG, on 25 March 1913.1 He died aged 49 in Welton, Yuma County, ArizonaG, on 1 September 1962.1 He married on 14 April 1932, Willie Mae Talley.1
     In 1920 John was living at Cason Road, Justice Precinct #5, Titus County, TexasG, in the household of his parents John and Ophelia, and was recorded in the census as Elbert Sackett, aged six and born in Texas.2
