John Parks, farmer, son of Warren Parks and Lydia Sackett, was born in Blandford, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 13 April 1811.1 He married first in about 1839, Martha ___.2 He married second in Huntington, Hampshire County, MassachusettsG, on 2 February 1882, Eliza J (Fisk) Smith.3
     In 1860 John was living in HuntingtonG and was recorded in the census as John Parks, a hotel proprietor, aged 49 and born in Massachusetts. Living with him were his wife Martha, 41, their children, Ursula, 19, and Ruth, 17, and John's mother Lydia, aged 80.4
