William George Frederick Sackett, son of William Sackett and Florence Deverelll, was born in Chelsea, LondonG, on 1 April 19051,2 and baptized at St John's Church, World's End, Chelsea, LondonG, on 18 June 1905.3 He died aged 90 in Fulham, LondonG, in November 1995.4 He married in Hammersmith, LondonG, in 1933, Caroline Cutmore, daughter of ___ Cutmore and ___ Letferd.5,6 Caroline was born in Kensington, LondonG, on 12 July 19057 and died aged 77 in HammersmithG in 1983.8
     In 1911 William was living at 31 Vespar Road, Shepherds Bush, LondonG, in the household of his parents William and Florence, and was recorded in the census as William F G Sackett, aged six and born in Chelsea.9
     In 1921 he was living at 13 Gransden Road, Hammersmith, LondonG, in the household of his parents William and Florence, and was recorded as George Sackett, a fitter in an engineering company, aged 16.10
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, William was living at 43 Rylett Crescent, Hammersmith, LondonG. He was a motor engineer and taxi driver. A closed record is presumably that of his wife Caroline.11
