James Earl Sackett, known as Earl, son of Frederick Plummer Sackett and Susan Earl, was born in Pine Grove, Van Buren County, MichiganG, on 31 March 1868.1,2 He died aged 52 in Santa Barbara, CaliforniaG, on 6 December 19203 and was buried at Mabton, Yakima County, Washington StateG, on 13 December 1920.3 He married at Big Rapids, Mecosta County, MichiganG, on 1 November 1893, Antoinette "Nettie" Hall.4
In 1880 Earl was living in Pine Grove, Van Buren County, MichiganG, in the household of his parents Fred and Susan, and was recorded in the census as Earl Sackett, aged 12 and born in Michigan.5
In 1910 he was living in Barstow, Stevens County, Washington StateG, and was recorded as Earl Sackett, a farmer, head of household, aged 42. He owned his home on a mortgage. Living with him were his wife Antoinette, 43, and their children, Calista, 15, William, 13, Clella, 11, Mildred, 10, Manley, 6, Fredrick, 4, and Jotham, aged seven months.6
In 1920 he was living at Mabton Pike, Belma, Yakima County, Washington StateG, and was recorded as Earl Sackett, a farmer, head of household, aged 52. Living with him were his wife Nettie, 43, and their children, William, 23, Clella, 21, Mildred, 19, Manley, 16, Fredric, 14, Jotham, 10, Nina, 8, James, 5, and Andy, aged two.7
