Asa Joel "Doc" Sackett, son of Alonzo Lincoln Sackett and Margaret Jane Coble, was born in Ellensburg, Kittitas County, Washington StateG, on 16 May 1897.1 He died there on 11 December 1967.1 He married first in EllensburgG on 15 February 1926, Ida Vera Mattox.1 He married second in Couer d'Alene, Kootenai County, IdahoG, on 23 August 1965, Helen Van Der Hagen.1
In 1900 Asa was living in Manastash, Kittitas CountyG, in the household of his parents Alonzo and Maggie, and was recorded in the census as A C J Sackett, aged three and born in Washington.2
In 1910 he was living in ManastashG in the household of his parents Alonzo and Maggie, and was recorded as Ac [sic] Sackett, aged twelve.3
In 1920 he was living at Manastash Canyon Road, ManastashG, in the household of his parents Alonzo and Margaret, and was recorded as Dock Sackett, aged 22.4
