Florence Lylian Sackett, daughter of William Henry Sackett and Rose "Mary Jane" (Payne) Clark, was born in Newark, Essex County, New JerseyG, on 15 September 1868.1,2,3 She died aged 32 in NewarkG on 2 December 1900.4 She married in NewarkG on 27 June 1897, Edwin Westervelt.5 Edwin was born in NewarkG in November 1863.2,3
     In 1870 Florence was living in Elizabeth, Union County, New JerseyG, in the household of her parents William and Rose, and was recorded in the census as Florence L Sacket, aged one and born in New Jersey.6
     In 1880 she was living at Grove Street, ElizabethG, in the household of her mother Mary [Rose] and stepfather John Bieron, and was recorded as Florence L Sacket, aged twelve and born in New Jersey.7
     In 1895 Florence was living in NewarkG with her mother Rose, sister Lulu, and half-sister Harriet.8
     In 1900 she was living at 223 2nd Street, Newark, Essex County, New JerseyG, in the household of her husband Edwin Westervelt, 36, an insurance agent, and was recorded as Florence Westervelt, aged 30. Living with them were Florence's unmarried sister Lulu, 28, and Florence and Lulu's widowed mother Rose, 65.9
