Herbert H Sackett, son of Herbert Lyman Sackett and Fannie N Sackett, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 8 August 1889.1 He married in Yonkers, Westchester County, New York StateG, on 20 June 1910, Jennetta Dean, daughter of Allen H Dean and Lillian A Gibbs.2 Jennetta was born in WestfieldG about 1890.3
In 1900 Herbert was living at 34 Prospect Street, WestfieldG, in the household of his parents Herbert and Fannie, and was recorded in the census as Herbert H Sackett, a schoolboy, aged ten and born in Massachusetts.4
In 1930 he was living at 15 Cedar Street, Springfield, Hampden CountyG, and was recorded as Herbert H Sackett, a bookkeeper at a bank, aged 40. Living with him were his wife Jennetta, 39, and their children, Janet, 16, Ruth, 9, and Russell, aged eight.5
In 1940 he was living at 114 Rochelle Street, SpringfieldG, and was recorded as Herbert H Sackett, a teller at the Safe Deposit & Trust Bank, aged 50. Living with him were his wife Jeanette, 50, and their children, Janet, 26, Ruth, 19, and Russell, 18.6
