Laura B Sackett, daughter of Rolin Sackett and Lovina Edson, was born in Cattaraugus County, New York StateG, on 31 March 1816.1 She died in Blue Earth City, Faribault County, MinnesotaG, on 5 November 1896.2,3 She married at probably in Cattaraugus County, New York StateG, in about 1832, Martin Lewis Chase.
In 1850 Laura was living at Mead Township, Crawford County, PennsylvaniaG, in the household of her husband Martin L Chase, and was recorded in the census as Laura Chase, aged 36, and born in New York. Living with Martin and Laura were their children, Leonard (17), Harrison (11), Levina (10), Francis (8), Laura (6), Ursula (5), George (2), and Naomi (1.)4

"CHASE - In this city, Thursday night Nov. 5, 1896, Laura B. Chase, aged 80 years, 7 months and 5 days.
Laura B. Sackett was born in Cattaraugus county, New York, in 1816. She was married in 1832 to M. L. Chase of that county. Shortly after marriage they settled in Ohio, where they resided several years after which they removed to Pennsylvania where they remained ten years. They then came to Minnesota, settling in Olmsted county in 1854. Some years later they settled in Faribault county. Since her husband's death she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Peter Fitch, where she has had the tenderest care possible ..."
