Edward L Sackett, son of Orlin Sackett and Ann Elizabeth Hanscom, was born in Goodhue County, MinnesotaG, on 28 October 1861.2 He died in Warren, Marshall County, MinnesotaG, on 2 October 19422 and was buried at the Nashville Cemetery, Truman, Martin County, MinnesotaG. He married first in Winnebago, Faribault County, MinnesotaG, on 3 March 1889, Clara Rosella "Rosa" Skinner.3 Clara was born in MinnesotaG in January 1872.4 She died on 17 March 19045 and was buried at the Nashville CemeteryG.5 Edward married second in Faribault, Martin County, MinnesotaG, on 6 August 1906, Mary Elizabeth Barber.6 Mary was born on 14 October 1862.5 She died in Marshall CountyG on 22 February 1938.5
     In 1870 Edward was living at Roscoe, Goodhue County, MinnesotaG, in the household of his parents Orlin and Ann, and was recorded in the census as Edward Sackett, aged eight and born in Minnesota.7
     In 1880 he was living at RoscoeG in the household of his parents Orlin and Ann, and was recorded as Edward Sackett, a farm assistant, single, aged 18, and born in Minnesota.8
     In 1900 he was living in Nashville, Martin County, MinnesotaG, and was recorded as Edward Sackett, a farmer, head of household, aged 38. Living with him were his wife Clara, 28, and their children, Alton, 6, and Mark, aged three.9
     Edward was named as a beneficiary in his father Orlin's will made at Winnebago, Faribault County, MinnesotaG, on 4 August 1905. He was to inherit 30 acres of land in Martin County.
     In 1910 he was living in NashvilleG and was recorded as Edward L Sackett, a farmer, head of household, aged 48. He owned his home on a mortgage. Living with him were his second wife, Mary, 47, and his children, Alton, 17, and Mark, 14.10
     In 1920 he was living in Viking, Marshall County, MinnesotaG, and was recorded as Edward L Sackett, a farmer, head of household, aged 58. Living with him were his wife Mary, 56, and his son Alton, 27.11
