Martha Sackett, daughter of John Sackett and Mary ___, was baptized at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 17 May 1651.¹ She married at Minster in Thanet^G on 17 April 1683, Daniel Church.^2,3
     Martha was named as a beneficiary in her mother's will made in St Lawrence in Thanet^G on 18 April 1683. She was to inherit after five years, with her sisters, Mary, Hester, and Elizabeth, the southern end of their mother's house in Ramsgate.⁴
     Daniel Church, yeoman, then of Herne, Kent, acted as bondsman for the marriage licence in 1691 of Martha's sister Hester.

Mary Sackett, daughter of John Sackett and Mary ___, was baptized at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 5 September 1652.¹ She married at St Peter in Thanet^G on 18 September 1684, Thomas Clunn.²
     Mary was named as a beneficiary in her mother's will made in St Lawrence in Thanet^G on 18 April 1683. She was to share with her sisters, Hester and Elizabeth, the use of the southern end of their mother's house in Ramsgate, with barns and stables, for five years, after which they would inherit the property with their sister Martha.³

Anne Sackett was born, presumably in Thanet, Kent^G, about 1653. She may have been a daughter of John Sackett and Mary ___. She married at St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, on 12 May 1678, Martin Long.¹ He predeceased her and was buried at St Lawrence the Martyr^G on 13 May 1707.²
     Martin and Anne were named as beneficiaries in the will of Mary Sackett, widow of John, made at St Lawrence in Thanet^G on 18 April 1683. They were to inherit the northern end of Mary's house in Ramsgate, where they were then living, paying £20 to Mary's daughters, Mary, Hester, and Elizabeth.³
     Although Anne was left a part of John and Mary Sackett's house, the context of Mary's will suggests that Anne was not her daughter. A birth or baptism record for Anne has not been found. One possibility might be that she was an illegitimate daughter of one of John's sisters.
     Anne's husband Martin made a will at St Lawrence in Thanet on 21 April 1707. He left all his messuages, tenements, etc. to Anne during her widowhood, and then to their sons, Martin, John, and Richard. The will was proved on 26 July 1707.⁴
Martin's will

Sarah Sackett, daughter of John Sackett and Mary ___, was born in St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, on 4 February 1654/55.¹ She died aged 18 and was buried there on 8 October 1673.²

Hester Sackett, daughter of John Sackett and Mary ___, was born in St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, on 3 April 1659.¹ She died aged 41 and was buried at St Mary the Virgin, Dover, Kent^G, on 29 December 1700.⁴ She married at Alkham, Kent^G, on 4 December 1691, Daniel Witherden, a woolen draper of Dover.^2,3 Daniel was born about 1665. He died aged about 55 and was buried at St Mary the Virgin, Dover^G, on 11 August 1720.⁵
     Hester was named as a beneficiary in her mother's will made in St Lawrence in Thanet^G on 18 April 1683. She was to share with her sisters, Mary and Elizabeth, the use of the southern end of their mother's house in Ramsgate, with barns and stables, for five years, after which they would inherit the property with their sister Martha.⁶
     After Hester's death, Daniel married second at Canterbury St Alphege^G on 29 July 1701 Anne Du Merellion, with whom he had a daughter Jane, baptized in Dover on 29 July 1703.⁷

Elizabeth Sackett, daughter of John Sackett and Mary ___, was baptized at St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, on 2 June 1661.¹ She married there on 3 November 1684, John Long.^2,3 She died in childbirth aged about 37 and was buried at St Lawrence in Thanet^G on 2 September 1698.⁴ Her son Martin was baptized on the same day.
     Elizabeth was named as a beneficiary in her mother's will made in St Lawrence in Thanet^G on 18 April 1683. She was to share with her sisters, Mary and Hester, the use of the southern end of their mother's house in Ramsgate, with barns and stables, for five years, after which they would inherit the property with their sister Martha.⁵
