Arnold Howard Sackett Sr, son of Elihu Elton Sackett and Amy Floretta Maine, was born in Winnebago, Faribault County, MinnesotaG, on 30 September 1913.2,3 He died aged 77 in Portland, Multnomah County, OregonG, on 18 January 19912,4,5 and was buried at Lincoln Memorial Park, PortlandG.6 He married first at Arnolds Park, Dickinson County, IowaG, on 25 July 1935, Inez Anna Pierce, daughter of Oscar R Pierce and Gady I Winch.2,7 Inez was born on 25 December 1914.8 She died aged 58 on 25 December 1972 and was buried at Lincoln Memorial ParkG.6 Arnold married second in Washington StateG in 1974, Wanda J Billups.9 Wanda was born in Brigham City, Box Elder County, UtahG, on 2 March 1917.10
     In 1920 Arnold was living at Main Street, WinnebagoG, in the household of his parents Elihu and Amy, and was recorded in the census as Arnold Sackett, aged six and born in Minnesota.11
     Arnold completed a World War II draft registration card on 16 October 1940. He was aged 27 and was living in WinnebagoG with his wife Inez.12
     Arnold served in the US Army during the Second World War, enlisting on 30 September 1944 and being released on 20 December 1945.13
