Ernest Henry Sackett, a boiler maker, son of Henry "Harry" Sackett and Louisa Elizabeth Mathison, was born in Dagenham, EssexG, on 7 January 19001,2,3 and baptized there on 28 May 1905.4 He died aged 77 in Havering, EssexG, in 1977.5 He married at Romford, EssexG, in 1921, Sarah Louisa Mitson Sparrow, daughter of George Sparrow and Alice ___.6,7 Sarah was born on 21 January 1900.3 She died aged 52 at The Murillac Sanatorium, Brentwood, EssexG, on 20 March 19528,9 and was buried at Chadwell Heath Cemetery, EssexG, on 25 March 1952.10
     In 1901 Ernest was living at 6 Rosedale Terrace, Rainham, EssexG, in the household of his parents Henry and Louisa, and was recorded in the census as Ernest Sackett, aged one, and born in Dagenham.11
     In 1911 he was living at 6 Rosedale Terrace, RainhamG, in the household of his parents Henry and Louisa, and was recorded as Ernest Sackett, a schoolboy, aged 11 and born in Dagenham.12
     Ernest joined the United Society of Boilermakers & Iron Shipbuilders on 20 March 1919.13,14
     In 1921 he was living at 1 Cecil Terrace, New Road, DagenhamG, in the household of his parents Henry and Louisa, and was recorded as Ernest Henry Sackett, a rivetter, aged 21. His wife Sarah, 21, was living with him.15
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Ernest and Sarah were living at 5 North Close, Dagenham, EssexG. Ernest was a boiler maker.16
     Ernest proved his wife Sarah's will on 26 April 1952. Her estate was valued at £2,611.17
