Maria Case, daughter of Elias Case and Ann Sackett, was born in New York StateG on 3 October 1829.1,2 She died aged 32 on 12 January 1862 and was buried at Stanford Cemetery, Stanfordville, Dutchess County, New York StateG.3 She married in about 1849, Allen Wiley.4 Allen was born in New York StateG in about 1825.1 After Maria's death, Allen married in about 1863, Malvina ___.
     In 1850 Maria was living at Pleasant Valley, Dutchess County, New York StateG, in the household of her husband Allen Wiley, 25, a farmer, and was recorded in the census as Maria Wiley, aged 21 and born in New York. Their son William, aged eight months, was living with them. Also in the household was Catherin Wiley, aged seven, perhaps a daughter of Allen's from an earlier marriage.5
