Living with him were his wife Hannah, 25, and their children, Stephen, 8, Rachael, 6, Cornelia, 4, George, 2, and Charles, aged two months. Hannah's widowed mother Joanna Connors, 65, was also in the household. George's uncle Artemus Sackett was living next door.3
