Oramel Almeron Sackett, a farmer, son of Calvin Pardee Sackett and Hannah Douglass, was born in New York StateG on 20 January 1807.1,2,3 He was baptized at the Presbyterian Church, Stephentown, Rensselaer County, New York StateG, on 3 June 1818.4 He died aged 72 on 11 September 1879.5 He married first on 8 January 1837, Cornelia M Willey, of Blissfield, Lenawee County, Michigan.6 Cornelia died on 20 July 1848.7 He married second between 1848 and 1850, Susan Betts.8,9 He married third in Pittsford, Hillsdale County, MichiganG, on 22 December 1874, Lavina H Foster.10,11 Lavina was born in ConnecticutG in about 1810.3
     Oramel was listed in the 1840 census as a householder in Blissfield, Lenawee County, MichiganG.12
