Edward Sackett, son of Homer Skiff Sackett and Charrie E Strong, was born in ConnecticutG on 5 June 18681,2 and baptized at the Congregational Church of Christ, Warren, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, on 30 June 1871.3 He married on 18 July 1896, Elizabeth J "Lizzie" Labue.1 Elizabeth was born in WisconsinG in about 1864.2
In 1870 Edward was living in WarrenG in the household of his parents Homer and Charrie, and was recorded in the census as Edward Sackett, aged one.4
In 1880 he was living in Kent (later Warren), Litchfield CountyG, in the household of his parents Homer and Charrie, and was recorded as Edward Sackett, aged ten, at school.5
In 1910 he was living at Wheatland Center Road, Wheatland, Monroe County, New York StateG, and was recorded as Edward Sackett, foreman in a plaster mill, head of household, aged 40. Living with him were his wife Lizzie, 44, their children, Homer, 13, Walter, 9, and Lawrence, aged six months, and Edward's sister Evelyn, aged 26.6
In 1920 he was living at State Street, Caledonia, Livingston County, New York StateG, and was recorded as Edward Sackett, a factory superintendent, head of household, aged 50 and born in Connecticut. He owned his home on a mortgage. Living with him were his wife Lizzie, 55, their children, Walter, 19, and Lawrence, aged ten, and Edward's unmarried sister Evelyn, aged 37.7
