Edson P Sackett, son of Erwin Sackett and Lucinda Bacon, was born in Watertown, Jefferson County, New York StateG, on 3 September 1832.1,2 He died aged 72 on 8 June 1905 and was buried at Oakdale Cemetery, Davenport, Scott County, IowaG.3 He married Caroline A ___. Caroline was born on 1 January 1835.2 She died aged 75 on 28 March 1910 and was buried at Oakdale Cemetery, DavenportG.3
     In 1850 Edson was living in Watertown, Jefferson County, New York StateG, in the household of his parents Erwin and Lucinda, and was recorded in the census as Edson Sackett, a carpenter, aged 17 and born in New York.4
