Ronald Aylmer "Ronnie" Sackett, son of James Arthur "Art" Sackett and Lula Dell "Lou" McCool, was born in Crossfield, Alberta, CanadaG, on 18 January 1928.1 He died there on 5 November 2010.2 He married on 16 January 1952, Winnifred "Jean" Wearmouth.

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ron Sackett of Crossfield, beloved husband of fifty-eight years of Jean Sackett. Along with his wife, he will be greatly missed by his four children, Ken, Brent, Maureen, Rhonda and their families. Dad loved farming, gardening, spending time with family and socializing. A Celebration of his Life will be held at the Crossfield Community Centre, 900 Mountain Avenue, Crossfield on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, No. 200, 119 - 14 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta T2N 1Z6 or to the Epilepsy Association of Calgary, 4112 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta T2K 1A2.
