Kitty Ena May Sackett, daughter of Edward Arthur Sackett and Isabella Elizabeth Gibbs, was born in Ramsgate, KentG, in 19071,2 and baptized at Holy Trinity Church, RamsgateG, on 14 June 1907.3 She married at St Luke, RamsgateG, in 1933, Horace John Matthews.4,5
     In 1911 Kitty was living at Ada Cottage, Farley Place, RamsgateG, in the household of her parents Edward and Isabella, and was recorded in the census as Kitty Ena May Sackett, aged four and born in Ramsgate.6
     In 1921 she was living at 10 Judith Villas, Clements Road, St Lawrence in Thanet, KentG, in the household of her mother Isabella and stepfather Alfred Brown, and was recorded as Kitty Sackett, aged 14.7
