Kate Florence "Kathleen" Sackett, daughter of Walter Richard Sackett and Mary Ann Bligh, was born in Thanet, KentG, in 18971 and baptized at St Paul's Church, Ramsgate, KentG, on 11 August 1897.2 She married at St Luke's Church, Ramsgate, KentG, on 19 April 1919, Samuel Henry Jordan, a shipper, son of George Edmund Jordan.3,4,5
In 1901 Kate was living at 1 Salem Cottages, King Street, RamsgateG, in the household of her parents Walter and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Kate F Sackett, aged three and born in Ramsgate.6
In 1911 Kate was living at 7 Edith Cottages, Margate Road, RamsgateG, in the household of her mother Mary Ann and stepfather Charles Buckley, and was recorded in the census as Kate Florence Sackett, a schoolgirl, aged 13 and born in Ramsgate.7
