Samuel Alfred Sackett, gas fitter, son of Samuel Henry Sackett and Emma Rosetta Roberts, was born in St Olave Southwark, SurreyG, in 18731 and died aged 72 in Brixworth, NorthamptonshireG, in 1946.2 He married at St Stephen's Church, Walworth Common, LondonG, on 26 October 1901, Charlotte Frances "Lottie" Clark.3,4,5 Charlotte was born in 1874.6 She died aged 86 in Wellingborough, NorthamptonshireG, on 12 December 19587 and was cremated at Kettering Crematorium, NorthamptonshireG, on 16 December 1958.8
     In 1891 Samuel was living at 41 Cowan Street, Camberwell, LondonG, in the household of his widowed mother Emma, and was recorded in the census as Samuel Sackett, a mineral water labourer, aged 17 and born in Bermondsey.9
     In 1911 he was living at 9 Rosebank Road, Bow, Poplar, LondonG, and was recorded as Samuel Sackett, a gas fitter, head of household, aged 37 and born in Bermondsey. Living with him were his wife Charlotte, 37, and their son Ronald, aged two.10
